Ecological and social commitment
– Choice of partner factories: Organic Basics only works with certified and trusted partner factories – these are the good students. They have the same sustainable vision as them and put it into practice by continually reducing their ecological footprint. These factories also ensure that their workplace is free from child labor and forced labor, that their workers are surrounded by a safe working space, that they receive a living wage, that They receive benefits such as free lunch and childcare and, of course, that they are treated with respect at all times. All Organic Basics partner workshops are located in Europe, with a large part of the production taking place in Portugal, and Turkey.
– Fabrics: Organic Basics selects each fabric based on its ecological footprint and sustainability. Over time, the brand's teams only seek out the most responsible materials and technologies available. This means only natural, renewable, recycled, biodegradable or low-impact textiles: GOTS certified organic cotton, tencel, and recycled materials represent 91% of the materials used by OB.
