We assume you are no stranger to why we need sustainability in every aspect of our lives, so we'll just start by telling you a little about us. We are a Portuguese clothing brand for men and women , eager to deliver fashion made fairly in Portugal. Our production is done with respect for the people who make it but also for our natural resources. The Näz philosophy is based on 3 fundamental values:1. TRANSPARENCY: We share all the information we have available about our manufacturing process, from sourcing materials to production.2. SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: be in agreement with the principles of sustainable development, and remain aware of the impact of the creation of new clothing3. RESPECT: for all people and for the environment. All our clothing aims for a sustainable future, where everyone can live harmoniously...To make this philosophy concrete and tangible, Näz is currently working to obtain B-Corp certification, proof of both social and environmental commitment.
Who is behind the brand
It was Christiania who had the idea of creating Näz in 2016. Founder and designer of the brand, she was joined by Mata and Raquel, for a 100% female team!
Ecological and social commitment
1. Upcycling at the heart of the choice of fabrics – Näz tries to work essentially with the philosophy of upcycling, namely finding surplus stocks, which are lying dormant in warehouses, or which are intended to be destroyed, to give them a second chance.
2. Recycled or environmentally friendly materials – when upcycling is not possible, the Näz team then turns to recycled materials, such as wool or cotton, but also responsible natural materials, such as linen or lyocell
3. 100% Portuguese production – Näz has developed a network of 8 family workshops (all less than 50 employees) which manufacture the different pieces from the Näz collections. All steps, from weaving to sewing, including finishing touches (buttons, labels) are carried out in Portugal.
