History and Philosophy

MARIANNE by Marie Jordane, is a young women's ready-to-wear brand 100% Made in France and eco-responsible created in 2020 by Julie and Marianne. Driven by the love of fashion, clothing and environmental and ethical values strong, they did not recognize themselves in the existing responsible fashion offering. “We couldn’t find a brand that combined style, local production and eco-responsibility. So we decided to create our own.”

MARIANNE by Marie Jordane advocates light, joyful and healthy fashion. And with a fierce desire to create responsible clothing that has style: a touch of audacity, a small dose of retro and a hint of bohemianism, MARIANNE by Marie Jordane sublimates all women in their singularity.

Who is behind the brand

Julie Lebrun has always been passionate about fashion. Julie manages the creative side at mARIANNE by Marie Jordane. Stylist and model maker, she designs and develops all the collections.

Marianne Ballino is the real linchpin within the brand, it is thanks to her that everything becomes possible. Marianne takes care of growing the brand and pampering her customers.

Ecological and social commitment

LOCAL PRODUCTION: A true pillar of the brand, local manufacturing has been at the heart of the project from the start. For Julie and Marianne, ethics is a global approach from yarn to manufacturing, so it was only natural that they turned to 100% French manufacturing. To take this approach even further, they decided to create their own tailoring workshop in Paris, in which they now produce all their collections. The brand is also labeled Made in Paris.

REASONED PRODUCTION: a production system specific to the brand allows it to produce as accurately as possible by adapting to demand. Every day, clothes come to life in the hands of experienced model mechanics. This system helps avoid overproduction, the brand thus builds up a small stock to ensure the availability of clothing.

RESPONSIBLE MATERIALS: All models are made from fabrics with a lower impact on the planet. The collections are made up of approximately 50% certified organic fabrics and 50% fabrics from upcycling.
For organic fabrics, the brand relies on a close relationship with a supplier located in Germany who provides complete traceability of its fabrics, from plant to roll.
For its upcycled fabrics, the brand works with various partners, direct French weavers, who resell them their dormant stocks, the Uptrade platform as well as Nona Source which allows them to revalorize exceptional fabrics from old LVMH collections.
