History and Philosophy

Histon “is an ancient Greek word which means “weaver”. Since its first days, Histon has been driven by a love of materials. Because clothing is first and foremost a sensory encounter. Visual and tactile. A relationship where colors, patterns and prints live in harmony with a texture, a fit, a drape. Thus, we think of clothing as an extension of our own body. And its material is like a second skin that you cannot decently choose on a whim. Histon was born in 2018 following the simple observation that the fashion industry was going on its head. And by identifying that an alternative path is to be followed.

Who is behind the brand

Christophe is the person behind Histon. Realizing the frightening impact of the textile industry, he decided to act by creating Histon. Of course, Christophe knows that he is not going to change the world, but he considers Histon to be his stone in the building of more responsible fashion. A stone in this building which over the years takes on new dimensions, while new consumers become more aware of their choices.

Ecological and social commitment

Histon Paris has chosen linen, the only 100% European natural fiber. A fiber that requires neither water nor pesticides and which has a very impressive yield. Woven in a visually very interesting material with superior thermal properties. France is the world's leading producer. Unfortunately, the miraculous fiber that was once so popular still does not represent much today compared to cotton, the exploitation of which is nevertheless so harmful.
